International conference: “Cultural heritage –for a more sustainable Europe”

Plovdiv, Bulgaria, 26.-27.3.2018

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the European Commission are pleased to announce that in the period 26-27 of March 2018 in city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, they will jointly hold an International conference: “Cultural heritage – for a more sustainable Europe” in the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of European Union.

A wide range of public and private stakeholders, highest representatives of EU Institutions, Member States and civil society organisations from all over Europe have been invited to contribute to the programme.

The main three thematic workshops in the conference programme are:

- Competences of the European Union in the field of cultural heritage

- Mainstreaming of cultural heritage - equality of policies
- Participatory governance of cultural heritage- how to turn good European practices into a model of socially inclusive governance
